Do I need any development or programming skills or experience?
Coding experience can be beneficial, but is not required to join the programme.
What will the timing, or the potential start date, of my programme be?
After successfully completing the initial selection week, participants will be offered a six-month graduate position. Start dates can vary depending on the time of year the programme is held, so check with your interviewer regarding your precise dates.
I've applied for multiple roles. Can I be considered for all of them?
Yes, all applications are assessed for all available opportunities. If we feel your skills align with a role other than the one to which you applied, we’ll reach out to you.
Is the programme open to people from other countries? Do you offer sponsorship?
Anyone with appropriate work authorisation in New Zealand is eligible to apply for the programme. However, we do not provide sponsorship.
Is the graduate programme paid?
The programme begins with five days of in-depth training. This week is unpaid with successful candidates being offered a permanent six-month Analyst role. Participants will then continue their learning and development journey as paid Planit employees.
Can I do the Graduate Programme in a different country than I reside?
For tax purposes, you must be physically living in the country where we are hiring for the duration of the programme.
Can I check the status of my application?
If you apply to a programme posted on our jobs board, you’ll have the ability to check your application status through the applicant portal.
What are the application deadlines?
For most of our programmes, we accept applications for two to three weeks after they are posted on our jobs board, so we encourage you to apply sooner rather than later, as spots on the programme tend to fill up quickly!
How do I best prepare for the programme interview process?
To make the biggest impact in your interviews, we suggest browsing our website, reviewing the job description and role expectations, and preparing a list of questions to ask the interviewers. You can also visit our social media channels to learn more about our work culture and business.
What sort of perks or benefits do participants receive?
Aside from an invaluable, hands-on learning experience as part of our award-winning programme, participants receive company swag, access to our training and mentorship, and an opportunity to gain certifications at no cost.
Does Planit offer housing for participants or relocation assistance?
We do not offer housing or relocation assistance for grads. We are happy to provide relocation guides and additional resources that will help you identify and secure affordable housing in and around our office locations.
Who can apply for the graduate programme at Planit?
Any recent graduate with a relevant degree from a New Zealand university can apply for our programme.
Are participants guaranteed full-time jobs?
When you start as a grad, you are commencing your journey as a permanent full-time Planit employee.
