The Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMi) defines levels through which an organisation’s testing processes evolve from one that is ad-hoc and unmanaged, to one that is managed, defined, measured, and optimised. Some of the key areas assessed are test policy and strategy, peer reviews, product quality evaluation, and defect prevention.
The Test Process Optimisation (TPO) Assessment is an independent audit of current testing practice versus testing best practices. It provides recommendations for improvements to achieve greater productivity, cost efficiency and effectiveness. A ‘Mini TPO’ is also available, appropriate for small organisations or individual projects.
The Agile Process Optimisation (APO) Assessment reviews a team or organisation’s current Agile process and procedures. It highlights areas of potential improvement and recommends steps to achieving these gains, focused on team quality. There are also requirements gathering and grooming, existing Agile assets, regression testing, and more.
A less formal alternative to the TPO, it is best suited to smaller organisations or those who do not require highly formalised reviews. The Health Check utilises a questionnaire that focusses solely on the testing team, and is split into four distinct phases of initiation and preparation, interviews, review of test artefacts, and completion and reporting.

"Now almost one year after the exercise, I can see how my test teams have implemented changes that have come directly from the report’s recommendations. I can clearly see the ROI from this investment and I look forward to a continued relationship with Planit.”

"It is a testament to the quality of the TMMi training that we were able to go on and achieve TMMi Level 5 certification on our first assessment. Throughout the assessment process, Planit was responsive and supportive."

"I cannot fault the professionalism, dedication, and courtesy that Planit provided during our journey. Without Planit or TMMi, there was a real risk of inefficient processes delaying delivery or, even worse, releasing poor product quality to our customers."
Fraser Daviss

The Intellectual Property Office of the UK
“TMMi trainer Clive was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject and had plenty of examples and anecdotes. He was very approachable and friendly so I felt comfortable asking any questions or joining in with the group discussions.”
