Friday, 31 August 2018 – In a world first, Planit is now able to offer its students University credit upon successfully completing a number of ISTQB Software Testing and iSQI Agile courses. This is made possible by an agreement between Planit and Charles Sturt University (CSU) in Victoria providing recognition of prior learning for CSU’s IT Masters Program.
CSU Associate Professor and Head of School of Computing and Mathematics, Irfan Altas (pictured centre), with IT Masters CEO, Martin Hale (left) and Planit Director of Training, James Pennefather (right), at the launch of Planit-CSU partnership.
If a student takes and passes the ISTQB Foundation Certificate with one relevant ISTQB Advanced course it is recognised as one full university credit towards their post graduate degree at CSU. Likewise for the iSQI Scrum Master Pro and Certified Agile Tester certifications, which can be used as an alternative to taking the ITE 518 Agile Project Management subject in any course it’s accepted.
Commenting on the partnership, James Pennefather, Director of Training at Planit Testing, says, “the CSU IT Masters Program provides a great opportunity for the 2500 + Planit students who have already achieved these certifications to get a head start on their post graduate qualifications. From a Software Testing industry perspective, it’s wonderful to see Masters Degree students graduating with industry recognised workplace ready skills.”
CSU will award the following credit to Planit students that successfully complete the following training and industry certification combinations:
