Justine got her start in testing in a part-time role at a small software company in Wellington. Having enjoyed her first taste of testing, Justine decided that this was the right career for her.

Upon hearing about the Planit Graduate Programme in Auckland, Justine immediately knew it was something she wanted to participate in. Her interest only grew when researching the impressive variety of clients that Planit services.

“After securing a start in testing, I knew that Planit would be a good place for me to gain exposure and experience to take my career to the next level,” she said. “It is also the same reason why I have stayed with Planit.”

After Justine joined Planit in Auckland, she became interested in the company’s Global Mobility Programme. “I was always interested in working outside of New Zealand, and it was very appealing that Planit would allow me to do so,” she said.

Justine was particularly interested in experiencing life in the UK, so she put in a request to be relocated to the Planit office in Reading, Berkshire. Although she found herself in a foreign country on the other side of the world, the Planit team in Reading eased her transition into British life.

“Having moved to a different city and country, away from friends and family, and knowing absolutely no one, everyone at the Reading office made me feel right at home,” she said. “From support at work to questions about life in the UK, the team was always there for me offering helpful advice.”

As part of the Graduate Programme, Justine was able to make the most of Planit’s comprehensive well-regarded training to quickly learn about the demands of today’s testing industry. Even after completing these initial courses, she has remained focused on upskilling to keep pace with her peers and add value to a client’s project.

“What motivates me to continually upskill is that I will gain new skills that will give me a competitive edge,” Justine said. “The great thing about Planit, and its extensive training curriculum, is that the company invests in your career and actively encourages you to not only get certified, but also further accredited.”
