“I joined Planit because I felt it would give me the best opportunity to explore and excel in testing in the banking industry, primarily by exposing me to the latest testing technologies and a variety of clients both big and small.”
Vishal Gupta, Test Lead, Planit
Vishal Gupta got his start at Indian tech giant Infosys. There he was exposed to the company’s Finacle banking product, sparking an interest in the banking and finance domain and soon evolving into a core focus of his career in IT and testing.
“I really liked how vast and complex banking is,” Vishal says. “I felt a strong desire to explore the sector in detail, as well as understand what banking products are on the market and widely used across the globe.”
Vishal continued to focus on banking and finance in the jobs to follow Infosys. It was this industry specialisation that led him towards the quality assurance side of software development.
“I just found over time that testing was the best way to satisfy my curiosity in learning more about the digital banking space,” Vishal says.
This is what led him to discover Planit and join the Mumbai office as a Test Lead focusing on banking and finance clients.
“I joined Planit because I felt it would give me the best opportunity to explore and excel in testing in the banking industry, primarily by exposing me to the latest testing technologies and a variety of clients both big and small,” Vishal says.
Since being with Planit, Vishal has been pleasantly surprised by the company’s employee friendly policies and “work hard, party harder” work culture. He has also been impressed with the training team’s well-regarded and industry leading training programmes.
“In a world where the IT industry is constantly evolving, up-skilling is a must,” Vishal says. “Learning about the latest development and testing methodologies provided a strong foundation that enabled me to become the team lead I am today, and Planit’s internal training programme enables me to continue to do this both flexibly and at my pace.”
In fact, one of Vishal’s fondest memories at Planit is attending an Agile training course. “It was the first ever programme that was run at the Mumbai office and I was fortunate enough to be a part of it,” he says. “Even with all of my knowledge and experience under my belt, it was a very informative and valuable learning experience that still benefits me now.”
