Sydney, 27 November 2018 – Planit Testing, a leading global provider of quality assurance solutions, has been named in Gartner’s 2018 Magic Quadrant for Application Testing Services. Planit’s inclusion demonstrates a year-on-year gain in Completeness of Vision 1.
“We’re excited to be recognised in Gartner’s MQ for the second consecutive year” Planit’s COO, Mike Weale, said.
“As a company built upon continuous growth and improvement, we are pleased to see a positive shift to the right in our MQ position. To us, Gartner’s acknowledgement is proof that our services and solutions are meeting the demands of today’s market, and are well-placed to capitalise on future opportunities.”
“For decades we’ve been testing evangelists, driving the adoption of QA best practices across the globe. Today, we’re going toe-to-toe with the some of the world’s largest organisations.”
Commenting on what has gotten Planit to its position in the market, Mike said “It’s hard work. It’s the quality of our people. It’s the close partnerships that we form with our clients.”
The inclusion in the Magic Quadrant comes just weeks after Planit was listed in Gartner’s Market Guide for Application Crowdtesting Services for the first time 3.
Crowdtesting is a new venture for us” said Mike. “We saw a number of crowd testing services pop-up one after the next, but they all seemed to have a primary utilisation of unvetted testers for the activities and there are potential limitations in an organisation using this level of service.”
“There was a clear business opportunity that aligned well with our capability, so we decided to go after it and do things differently. The Planit Crowd is comprised of 100% certified and vetted professional testers. Our Crowd projects are led by a dedicated test manager who directs testing efforts, consolidates defects and delivers easy-to-action reporting. Plus, we provide full visibility and real-time reporting via our world-first crowd platform built on the Salesforce Community Cloud.”
Reflecting on the state of the market, Mike said “Today’s customers have incredibly high expectations and are ready and willing to provide swift and severe feedback online. Meanwhile, businesses are demanding more to be delivered quicker to keep up with their competitors. It’s a challenging time for CIOs, and an exciting time for Planit.”
