We at Jobshop are pleased to announce the release of the latest generation of our market leading MRP system.
The new Jobshop 2008r1 brings the product into the “Vista” age able to operate on any server platform from ‘Server 2000’ onwards and any work station operating system from ‘Windows 2000’ through to ‘Vista’ and beyond.
As the leaders in our field, we have continuously sought to offer tier 1 system functionality inexpensively in both terms of time to implement and the all important capital outlay.
We understand our manufacturing customers need to be able to exercise process management and control over their ever changing customer requirements and look to Jobshop to provide the necessary functionality within their software. The new release, 2008r1, incorporates MRP and Scheduling engines, included in the standard system, and with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) as an option, enabling you to process and react to changes in demand without loosing control of your production, stock holding, or increasing ‘work in progress’. The new release will also provide a link to ACT!, the industry standard customer relationship management tool, allowing for full CRM capability.

Upgrade paths
Jobshop will ensure the path to upgrading is made simple and avoids any unnecessary costs. Included with the standard system are regular upgrade facilities to both the Jobshop system and changes to the Magic operating system at minimal cost. New system releases, planned at regular intervals, can now be done by our trained support staff or by experienced end users with minimal training.
Future development
Our “Jobshop Roadmap” takes the product development through to 2010 and beyond. Jobshop 2008r1 is the first release following the formation of the Product Development team. New innovative developments will include real time integration with other business critical systems from fellow Planit Group brands.
We will also continue to jointly fund initiatives with our existing users on specialist projects.
