'It's not what you've got, but the way that you use it.' This adage is as true for someone buying a top-of-the-range camera as it is for an organisation investing in latest generation multi-axis machining equipment. Ownership alone will not unlock the acquisition's full potential.
AISH Technologies - Selects Jobshop to improve work scheduling & reduce WIP
2 January 2007 – Aish Technologies based in Poole, Dorset, has installed the latest Jobshop manufacturing and production control system to integrate all its systems and reduce lead times. The systems design and manufacturing company specialising in multi-function consoles, flat panel displays and cathodic protection systems, is using the full Jobshop system including costing, estimating, order processing, manufacturing, stock control and reporting. This will be implemented with Exchequer Accounts across the whole business.
Nicholsons Sealing Technologies
When Nicholsons Sealing Technologies, the UK arm of Nicholsons Group, recognised the need for the automated collection of company-wide data on production processes, the general opinion was that such a system did not exist. One that could cover the wide range of highly formalised operations that the company carried out, support a flexible manufacturing environment and enable volatile customer order requirements to be met – seemed a tall order. The solution that covered all these and more, was Jobshop.

Gardner Aerospace
Consolidating the complementary activities of eight manufacturing companies to gain the benefits of scale from an integrated group is never likely to be an easy task. However, the adoption of Jobshop manufacturing software at four sites within the Gardner Group is playing an important role in aligning the aerospace company’s operating procedures and reporting methods on the road to achieving this goal.
Iona Unitool
With customers predominately in the aerospace and medical equipment sectors, the Iona Unitool Group faces the combined problems of producing complex prototype components alongside repeat batch work for two of the most demanding markets in the UK.
AIM Engineering
The clinching of a five-figure order for its Jobshop manufacturing software within minutes of demonstrating it to a new prospect stole the show for HRS at the recent Donnington Park IT Showcase event.
Pressure Hoses
Getting the right product to the right place at the right time has always been a prerequisite for success in the manufacturing sector. So, for a company to not only survive, but flourish in the Just-in-Time, Kanban-driven environment of heavy construction equipment manufacturing means taking this ability to new heights. Original equipment supplier, Pressure Hoses of Eccles has met these challenges, and more, by streamlining its complete operations using HRS’s Jobshop manufacturing software.
